What a stunning performance by the young Serbian rider on the longest stage of this year's Giro. With his teammate Alexander Konychev he caught up with the breakaway less than 20 minutes into today's stage. Then 62 kilometres into the race, he won the intermediate sprints in Borghetto di Vara, and Busalla collecting 22 points and a time bonus for the Maglia Ciclamino. Then stormed onto win the KOM Passo del Bracco and Colla di Boasi and Passo della Campagnola collecting even more points for the Maglia Azzurra. Finally he was caught by the chasing bunch after nearly five hours at the front, less than 30 minutes before the finishing line. His teammate Alexander Konychev finished 19th and Charlie Quarterman tried to trick everyone in the last kilometre by was swallowed up by the peloton.
