After Marion's 1st place in Paris, it was the German Nils Riecker who earnt himself a well-deserved 2nd place on the challenging UCI World Cup course around Barcelona. The 29 year old, who only joined the pro team 2 years ago mastered the different surfaces: steps, sand, cobblestones and asphalt tested the riders skill and courage. It was a completely new feeling for Nils who was very happy to take 2nd place on the podium. As his colleagues said to him during the winter season: "Nils you're our man for the Overall World Cup", he thought they were mad, but it was great to hear their confidence in me. Titouan, the World Champion, was with him all the way, coming in third and gaining valuable points for the Overall World Cup, where he is also third.
