Sensational news just reached us from Italy. We receive a wildcard to one of the biggest bike races in the world: The Giro d'Italia 2023. A mad news for our young factory team at the beginning of the season. We are very proud of the team and are already looking forward to the "motherland" of road cycling - Italy! Starting on the 6th of May, corratec will rock the streets of Italy, with the thrilling finale in the heart of the capital Rome.
As we are known, according to our claim "Passion of cycling", we will celebrate the unique success story of corratec road cycling history and turn the Italian streets into a witches cauldron. We can not reveal more at this time. Only so much, it will be spectacular and something really big. Follow us and don't miss any milestone of our corratec Factory Team.
The hero bike - The new CCT EVO on the world's biggest cycling stage
The Young Guns from Team corratec will start at the Giro on our new race bike the CCT EVO. Even lighter, stiffer and more aerodynamic, the new corratec race bike sets the benchmark and will compete at the Giro with the best cyclists in the world and convince the world of their skills. The crazy challenges - 3.448 km total, 51,300 meters of altitude
The Giro is, togehter with the Tour de France and the Vuelta a Espana, a Non Plus Ultra in road cycling and one of the toughest tests for man and machine. As made for our new road bike CCT EVO. With 51,300 meters of altitude, only a mountain-proof all-rounder will stand at the top of the podium in Rome and wear the maglia rosa. A total of 3,448 kilometers must be overcome.
The divers route - From the mountain festival in the Dolomites to the showdown in Rome
The Giro starts this year with an 18-kilometer team time trial in Fossacesia Marina in the province of Chieti on the Adriatic coast. Passing through Naples, Bergamo and Monte Bondone, among others, the Giro leads the peloton to the spectacle with the decisive mountain stages in the Dolomites. A mountain finish awaits with a spectacular arrival at the Three Peaks - a real highlight for every cycling fan. On the penultimate stage, the all-important mountain time trial up Monte Lussari will take place, where the final decision for the Maglia Rosa will be made. The final stage, 115 km long, takes place in beautiful and historic Rome and will clearly demand all remaining strength in the legs of our heros. This is definitely an affair for the sprinters! A prestigious victory awaits the riders when all their dreams turn pink!
