Less than 10 minutes into today’s stage, Charlie Quarterman (GBR) went into the leading breakaway. After warming up and only 83 km into today’s stage, he came 3rd in the intermediate sprint in Rosa. Then just under 4 hours he won the intermediate sprint in Jesolo at 165 km. After more than 4 hours in the saddle he was finally caught by the chasing peloton less than 20 km before the finishing line. But what a stage for him and Team corratec!
