Mountainbike Racingteam from corratec leads the UCI World Ranking

With three strong riders in the team, the Mountainbike Racingteam is in the top position of the UCI World Ranking.

For corratec, the new signing of Titouan Perrin-Ganier is already paying off. The 32-year-old Frenchman ensured that the Upper Bavarian bike manufacturer now leads the UCI World Cup. Simon Gegenheimer and Marion Fromberger, who also compete for the mountain bike racing team, are also partly responsible for this upswing. The trio recently shone with very good results at the UCI Eliminator World Cup in Aalen.

While May was all about the road bikes and Team corratec's participation in the Giro d'Italia, it is now the turn of the mountain bikers. And in the meantime they have been busy collecting points in the UCI World Cup circuit - above all the Frenchman Perrin-Ganier, who has only been riding under the Team corratec flag this year.

The team captain is highly satisfied

For Steffen Thum, team captain of the corratec mountain bike racing team, the signing of the reigning off-road world champion Perrin-Ganier is a real enrichment: "We love cycling and Titouan is a professional who is not only successful but also full of joy and passion for the sport." This, he says, was a major influence in the decision by corratec founder Konrad Irlbacher and Thum to add Perrin-Ganier to the mountain bike racing team at the beginning of the year. "We are increasingly demonstrating that we think internationally and underline our claim to take our place in cycling as a sporty, global brand," adds Thum.

Good team performance at the Germany World Cup in Aalen

Although it was not enough for a victory on a corratec bike at the Germany World Cup in July (download the event video here), the off-road specialists impressively proved their team strength. In the qualification at the UCI MTB Eliminator in Aalen, Nils-Obed Riecker came out on top - proving that Team corratec also has hungry young riders in the second row. Marion Fromberger had bad luck in the final. In the lead, her front wheel slipped and she crashed. This is all the more regrettable as she seems to be gradually closing in on the reigning world champion and perennial winner from Italy, Gaia Tormena. In the end, the German Eliminator champion Fromberger finished in a good fourth place.
which was celebrated by about 15,000 fans (click on this link for the ARD media library - from minute 24). With this result, the 22-year-old popular skier underlined her good form - she even won the World Cup in Istanbul.

Mountain bike racing team from corratec on the rise

It will probably only be a matter of time before Fromberger is at the top of the winner's podium in rows. And that also translates into the increasing popularity of cycling. Fromberger, however, is first of all thinking "from step to step". She is happy that together with the mountain bike racing team, her coach and the bike developers from Raubling she is getting further and further ahead. She adds: "We'll see where our journey takes us. Whether we can win German championship titles, World Cups or maybe even the rainbow stripes one day in the process." For sure, says Fromberger, she will always carry the "Passion of Cycling", the motto of Team corratec, in all her performances. Her teammate Simon Gegenheimer also finished fourth in Aalen, Perrin-Ganier crossed the finish line in second place - just behind winner Felix Klausmann. For Perrin-Ganier, however, this result was enough to defend the World Cup lead.
