The Inside Link System works different than most of the mountainbikes on the market right now. Riding a fully suspended mountainbike without a locked damper uphill causes loss in force due to rocking motion of the damper. Therefore the damper needs to be locked during an uphill ride. Thats why we developed the Inside Link technology.
During an uphill ride you can feel the incredible propulsion of the Inside Link technology. The force of the frame will be redirected through the two linkcages. Imagining a line of both linkcages, the two lines will both collide just above the chain stay. This intersection is called the Virtual Pivot Point (VPP).
During chain tension and opened damper a 200% anti Squad will be created and the damper will pull apart to the maximum. Therefore the system can be cycled open ererytime. (No lockout needed)
The Inside Link System can be cycled without any lockout (no locking of the damper). "Forget the lockout, keep your eyes on the trail!"
