On July 12, 2025, the city centre of Aalen will once again be transformed into a spectacular racing arena: the UCI MTB Eliminator World Cup will be held in the city for the third time - and this year the experience will be even more intense. This year, top-class sport merges with an exuberant festival atmosphere at Michael Schulte's after-race concert to create an unforgettable summer experience.

The MTB Eliminator is the sprint format of the Mountain Bike World Cup. The riders compete against each other in knockout heats on a compact, urban circuit - with explosive starts, tight corners, stairs and obstacles. Spectators are up close and personal: in the middle of the city, at eye level with the pros.
In 2024, over 7,000 enthusiastic spectators flocked to Aalen city center to watch the race live. The combination of top-class sport, city flair and a summery atmosphere not only delighted the audience, but also the press:
“A sporting event that puts Aalen on the world map of the mountain bike scene.” - SWR Sport
“Perfect backdrop, great atmosphere - the World Cup in Aalen is a showcase event.” - Bike Magazine

- Simon Gegenheimer, multiple World Cup winner and “King of Sprint”, comes from the region and knows the course like no other. The fans love him for his explosive starts and his closeness to the audience.
- Marion Fromberger, multiple German champion, is one of the fastest women in the eliminator sprint. Her dynamism and technique make her a favorite on the podium.
