X Vert 29 0.2

The World of Mountainbike, or WOM, has tested the brand new Corratec X Vert 29 0.2 in its October edition of 2017.  The pictures were taken by the editor of the World of Mountainbike. Read here their conclusion:

Components

With the SRAM GX Eagle gearshift and the 1 x 12 cassette, the riders are offered a huge and functional transmission range. With the new X Vert, Corratec relies on the Marvel Comp TS Air with 100mm spring. The fork performs reliably on the trail and can be blocked via remote-control at handlebar.

The Bike

Thanks to its balance, the X Vert combines the sporty climbing artist and ambitious touring bike. Because of this versatility, the bike is perfect for MTB tours. The X Vert 0.2 is available with both, the larger 29 inch and the agile 27.5 inch wheels. The frame is made of aluminum and offers the possibility to mount two bottle holders, which is especially suitable for longer or day trips. The handlebar, seatpost and stem are also familiar with the aluminum brand ZZYZX. As already mentioned, a Manitou Marvel Comp TS Air suspension fork with 100 mm spring travel is installed. The SRAM GX Eagle offers a large translation bandwidth of 500 percent. The X Vert shines brightly in a beautiful blue tone with neon yellow accents. For all the perfect color combination on the domestic trails to attract and with 1,599 € in addition still very inexpensive.

On the trail

The X Vert is a perfect companion for ambitious bikers and pleasure riders. The downhill runs and trails are particularly impressive thanks to the direct riding behavior. The tester was with the 29 inch tires on the road. The stiff and agile wheel brings the rider fast to speed, while the front wheel remains constant on the ground especially at the uphill. The seat position is sporty but at the same time pleasant and offers optimal comfort for longer tours. Concerning the downhill, the bike is characterized by agile handling and the great 29 inch wheels ensure a first-rate rollover behavior on root and stone passages. Combined with a functional SRAM brake, the rider feels safe on technical descents.
