The last days were very exciting for team corratec: from dinners to press conferences, photo shoots and the reveal of the new race jersey!
On the 14th of January the team met for its first official dinner date of the season. All dressed in corratec branded casual clothes the cyclists had some time to grow together as a team and share their thoughts about the upcoming races. Two days later the first press conference took place in the Grand Hotel du Park et Regina in Montecatini Terme and was live broadcasted on Zoom. Furthermore, all team members had their photos taken, solo and posing with their new racing machines, the corratec CCT EVO Factory. We look forward to sharing more visuals in the next days - stay tuned!
Wine red and aqua green - vibrant colours for the 2023 season
The much anticipated highlight, however, was the reveal of the new race jersey with fresh colors and design for this first season among the UCI Pro Teams, first presented on the 18th of January. The technical supplier of Serge Parsani's team's racing apparel does not change, which will be, for the second consecutive year, the Veloplus company.
"We created exclusive graphics - says Matteo Spreafico, R&D Manager of Veloplus - on a performant jersey with an ultra-fit wearability on light and breathable fabrics. We always do a lot of research, study future trends and follow a precise stylistic path. When we started designing the jersey we asked ourselves why cycling clothing couldn't be elegant as it is in other sports. We wanted to bring some fashion to the cycling world."
"We chose the wine color - continues Spreafico - which is inspired, as the name suggests, by the intense red typical of wine. For the trousers, we chose aqua green, a color very similar to Tiffany which has found its greatest popularity in the fifties, especially in the fashion industry. It is a fresh color that refers to nature. The shirt is very light, with a total weight of 110 grams. The front is made of a soft and pleasant fabric, while the back has a micro-perforated fabric capable of allowing air to circulate and consequently improve transpiration. The sleeve is made of striped raw cut fabric to be more snug, comfortable and aerodynamic. The low neck is perfectly anatomical and follows the ergonomic position by bike avoiding annoying creases."
Perfectly dressed for the first race in January
With the brand new race jerseys, the team is well equipped to compete in the first race of 2023 which will take place in Argentina. Vuelta a San Juan Internacional 2023 inludes seven stages between 22 January 2023 and 29 January 2023. As the race had to be cancelled the last two years due to the impact of Covid19, the anticipation is even higher to start the season in the summer heat of Argentina and around the majestic Andes mountains. We wish team corratec all the best!
