Olympic Champion Oliver Zeidler relies on corratec bikes for comprehensive training

Gold medallist Oliver Zeidler and Corratec start the winter season together

After his remarkable performance at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, where he clinched the gold medal in single sculls, Oliver Zeidler is eagerly looking forward to the upcoming winter season—now with the fist-class support of corratec. Coming from a distinguished rowing family, Oliver's success has brought immense joy to both his grandfather Hans and his father Heino, who has been by his side as a coach since the beginning of his career. "My dad was wiping tears from his eyes at the side of the course," Oliver recalls. "This victory is a complete triumph for my grandfather, nearly 52 years after his own achievements." The emotional award ceremony is a moment Oliver will never forget: "I had to fight hard not to cry with joy." With Corratec's backing, he is ready to embrace new challenges and continue his journey in the sport he loves.

Oliver is now focussing on winter training and the new opportunities that the high-quality bikes from corratec offer him. ‘Innovation and quality are extremely important to me,’ he emphasises. ‘With corratec, I can concentrate 100 % on my performance.’ Oliver is particularly excited about his new CCT EVO and the Allroad C1 gravel bike, which will enhance his training sessions around Lake Geneva. But what does he do when the weather doesn’t cooperate? For Oliver, cycling is a vital component of his training regimen as a rower. "During the winter months, it's crucial to maintain my stamina and prepare for the upcoming season. Cycling is the ideal solution for me," he explains. In winter, you’ll often find him on his racing bike or ergometer, meticulously analyzing his performance metrics. "Good music is part of it, but I prefer to focus on wattage and speed."

With corratec at his side, Oliver Zeidler is well equipped for a successful winter season - ready to continue defending his gold medal and reach new heights in rowing.
